Dewdrop covered greens
mirror the frail, cold sunlight
as the letter flies away.

She pulls her coat tighter
as the chill's embrace made her
numb and shiver, whispering
its sympathy over the trickling of a leaf.

The night wraps around her
as her heart bleeds,
no one to hold her
silently she weeps.
