The Island Of Corregidor
Just had a trip to Corregidor Island, one of the last fortress of the Fil-American forces that surrendered to the Japs during the war of the Pacific WWII. Of course General McArthur returned to liberate the Island from the Japanese, Lots of fantastic views, sceneries and historical artifacts are treasured here. We boarded the tranvia as we toured the island, explored the Malinta tunnel, where President Manuel L. Quezon and VP Sergio Osmena took oath for their 2nd term during the war, we also checked the heavily bombarded barracks and batteries, (the humongous guns that can blow a ship to pieces) that defended the island from the enemies. It's is an exciting adventure for us and if ever i'll have another chance to visit, i'll definitely do it again.
